With an exclusive portfolio of images, exhibited at Galleria Carla Sozzani (Saturday, January 15 – 10 Corso Como), Robert Polidori, Canadian photographer, explores the 25 years of progresses in the restoration of the magnificent royal residence of Louis XIV. Through intuitive and seductive dictates of the eye, Polidori narrates the interior, magical and mysterious, of the sumptuous palace, trying to penetrate the soul and reveal the essence of who lived there. His visual work-in-progress collects portraits of famous people, decadent environments, graphically compounds even if accidentally encountered. For the photographer Versailles does not belong to a single historical period, but is the result of a continuous process of reconstruction and reinterpretation of history in order to keep the past alive.

LA NUIT DE L'HOMME

La Nuit de l’Homme Le Parfum by Yves Saint Laurent is the new fragrance for men characterized by a dark and languid charm. The first reaction that I raised was that of a young voyeur, rich and beautiful but also very lonely; a gentle and sleepy being who hides the quickness of a panther. A beautiful figure to worship behind a stained coloured glass window, something small and sweet just like its black lacquered bottle. A male object, perfect and durable. The notes of Lavender and Labdanum give the scent a sensual nocturnal melody, intoxicated by the final notes of Vetiver. A shameless essence emphasizes a feline masculinity; as a whole is as much a temperament as a fragrance, it will certainly stay in the collective memory.
